BENETEAU 423 sailboat built in 2007 for sale.

BENETEAU 423 (OCEANIS) sailboat built in 2007 for sale.

Located at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Mentioned Beneteau 423 - Ocean Echo 1 - is 43 footer with 3 cabins 2 heads and nav table layout, which is hard to find. You can always use cabin for storage, but you cannot turn storage into the cabin!

This Beneteau 423 is modified for convenient cruising with practical approach. She has a lot of advanced features for comfortable cruising. You will not find 43 foot sailboat upgraded to level of "Ocean Echo 1" anywhere. Ready for extended sailing/cruising. Has not been offshore, has not been grounded, no charter in the past, no insurance claims, no liveaboard. This Beneteau 423 has been well maintained (I have mechanical background).

I am retiring from boating after 35 years of sailing, offshore cruising and boat maintenance. This includes extended offshore cruising in Pacific Ocean (South Pacific) on previous sailboat Beneteau Oceanis 400. I am willing to help with many inquiries. Weather forecasting and navigation is my hobby.

2007 Beneteau 423 built in USA - Ocean Echo 1 - inventory and equipment.

Furling main sail with vertical battens. US Spars in-mast furling, mast has track for conventional main sail as a second option. Most of in-mast furling rigs do not have a mast with the track for sliders of classic mainsail.

Furling genoa 140 % with foam luff, Profurl furling system. Lewmar winches 4 x (2 + 2).

Furling main and furling genoa sails are in very good condition.

Light wind sailing video is posted at the bottom of this web page.

Raymarine electronics with chartplotter and radar.

Kanzaki transmission KM35P.

Easy access to Yanmar engine and Kanzaki transmission from all 4 sides (360 access)

Diesel tank - 53 gals / 201 L (aft Starboard side).

Hot water heater Seaward (heated by engine or shore power).

Electric refrigerator, freezer 12 VDC.

Stainless Steel propane 3 burner stove and oven.

Microwave, toaster oven, double stainless steel sink.

House batteries - Trojan 4 x 100 Amps = 400 Amps almost new + 1 engine starting.

Aluminum Propane tanks 2 x - 10 lbs each.

Propeller solid 3 blades (SS shaft 30 mm).

Bilge pumps 3 x - 2 electric and 1 manual.

-----------------------------------------------

Additional equipment/upgrades - instructions and operational videos are posted at the bottom of this web page.

Anchor chain STAINLESS STEEL 316 - G4 (HT) 10 millimeters size (similar to 3/8" BBB) - 200 feet on the boat + new 200 feet (SS) at home. SS chain is very expensive, but lasts for long time!

SS chain can be repaired, reconnected/extended length, mud does NOT stick to SS chain as much!

Anchors 2 x STAINLESS STEEL 316 with the Roll Bar - similar to Rocna style.

Two bow rollers for 2 anchors (ready to go) option.

Windlass upgraded (from Lewmar 700W) to  Lofrans Tigres 1500 Watts with 3/8" BBB Gypsy (strong, very reliable windlass, good for deep anchoring).

Watermaker - engine driven 80 liters/hour - 20 US gal/h. NO excessive wear of batteries with engine driven watermaker. High volume of drinking water production with engine driven watermaker.

Spinnaker, blue and white colors with the dousing sock - new (have not been used).

Rigid bottom 9 feet inflatable dinghy with double fiberglass hull (warmer floor in cold sea water).

Yamaha outboard engine 8 HP 4 stroke.

Stainless Steel dinghy davits, adjustable. High location of the davits allows for access to the swim grid, kayak or paddleboard entry, when the dinghy is lifted all the way up. Safe in high seas.

Full cockpit cover/roof - Lexan and Stainless Steel tubing.

Solid safety glass and Lexan dodger (front/forward - lower middle glass part and 3 upper Lexan sections can be opened/removed in hot weather).

What's the difference between Lexan and plexiglass? Lexan is made of polycarbonate plastic. Plexiglass is made of acrylic.

Solar panels 3 x 150 watts each, total 450 watts. MPPT solar charge controller 40 Amps (oversized).

Radar and chart plotter Raymarine (radar mount is adjustable for the tilt). Anchor light (twin LED) is installed on top of radar dome.

Stern perch/pulpit seats 2 x attached to stern corner railings (both sides of the cockpit, white).

Removable folding seat attached to pedestal - heavy weather "dry" pilot seat inside solid dodger.

Cockpit leaf table attached to pedestal - Lexan. Good for wet weather conditions.

Salon table can be converted to another bed. Additional cushions and shorter table legs are included.

Icom IC-718 HF/SSB Transceiver and Pactor II modem (PTC II).

Icom Marine VHF radio with cockpit remote, Sony AM/FM stereo.

New hot water marine diesel heater with 7 heat radiators (main salon, 3 cabins, 2 heads).

Battery charger + inverter 2000 watts.

Weather station LaCrosse (good for monitoring wind speed and weather while at anchor or marina).

Foot pumps 3 x, saves water and electricity (less wear to electric pumps).

Sailboat's plumbing, Yanmar engine and watermaker are setup for easy winterizing.

Anchor lights 2 x (top of the mast + tricolor, top of radar dome 2 x LED).

Cutlass bearing tube modified to accommodate 2 shaft zincs (longer protection with 2 zinc anodes).

A lot of spare parts and custom made equipment are optional/negotiable.
